Purple Room

Image
Well tonight Julia insisted on sleeping in her "purple room". It was quite a surprise to us. I thought it was going to be tough convincing her to change rooms. We put her down there and she went right to sleep. We'll see how it goes. Is it me or is Julia looking more and more like Steve Nash? Maybe it's time for a haircut.

Pool Party Pictures

A few pictures from Julia's pool party last week.

Weekend Update

Saturday we went to Yorkdale Mall to do some shopping. Julia always loves the mall because there is so much to see. We got there around 11:30am to avoid the crowd and had lunch there too. Julia liked the Disney store and Pottery Barn for Kids. The Pottery Barn is sooo expensive for what you get (example 4 piece kids play kitchen...$1300!!). Today we continued to work on Julia's new room. Almost done! Pictures soon. Then we'll have to get her to sleep in it.

Pool Party

On Thursday Julia and the rest of the toddlers in the class had a pool party. They brought a plastic pool into the room for the kids to splash around in. Julia had a great time. We brought her sunglasses too to get into the spirit of summer. We actually didn't have a bathing suit that fit so Mommy had to go and buy one this week. Today I had the day off so Julia stayed home as well. At around 10am Grandma and Papere came over to pick Julia up. They went to McDonalds in the morning and then Tim Horton's in the afternoon. No wonder she gets so excited when they pick her up. Julia had a good day. Grandma and Papere are leaving for their cruise on Sunday so it was good for her to spend time with them and get her last donut for a week. Tomorrow we are going to the mall.

Two Year Pictures

Julia got her two-year pictures this weekend. They turned out pretty good considering she was very uncooperative...Go Canada! Julia stayed home on Friday. She was up all night and kept Mommy up all night too. They were both dead tired in the morning. Mommy took a half day off to sleep in with Julia. Julia went to Grandma's house later to let Mommy work. On Saturday morning we went to IKEA to pick up another piece of Julia's new room. We almost have everything. Julia likes IKEA because of the play areas they have. We got there early enough for the $1 breakfast special...scrambled egges, 2 sausages, potatos and a bun for a buck! The three of us ate for $5!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Happy Birthday Papa! Happy Birthday Auntie Debbie! Love, Julia

Happy Birthday Julia!

Image
Today is Julia's birthday! She had a nice party at daycare today. Mommy, Papere and Grandma dropped by for the festivities. Julia liked her cake but was upset when she accidentally dipped her fingers into the icing. All the kids had their fill of cake and pizza. Thanks to Mia and Lisa for a great party.

Julia's Birthday Party

Image
Today was Julia's birthday party. All the cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents were over. All the kids had a great time. There was a bit of fighting for toys. Julia is not a good sharer but in the end they all had fun. Julia will be busy playing with all her new toys. Tomorrow is another birthday party. Her daycare class is having a party for Julia. Mommy and Grandma and Papere are coming too.

Home Again

Julia stayed with Grandma for a second day. She is ok but her cough is bad. Staying at Grandma gives her a bit more rest than she would get at daycare. Unfortunately tonight was pajama party night at daycare. Julia was suppose to stay there until as late as 9pm having a pajama party while Mommy and Daddy go out for dinner for Valentine's Day. She was going to have dinner there, have ice cream sundaes and watch movies. Oh well, maybe next year.

Sick Day

Julia stayed with Grandma today. She has been feeling a bit under the weather lately so we thought would get more rest at Grandma's. On Wednesday she had a bad day at school. She was grumpy all day and didn't get much rest at nap time. Hopefully she will be better by Sunday for her party. She also has a birthday party on Monday at school.

Super Bowl Sunday

Yesterday we went to a family wedding. Julia came with us to the church in the afternoon. In the evening Julia stayed home with Grandma and Papa K. They were nice enough to come all the way from Scarborough in treacherous driving conditions. In case you didn't know, Papa K. hates driving in the snow. Julia was a good girl and didn't give them any trouble. Julia got a new recliner just in time for the big game.

Girly Girl

Julia had fun playing with make-up at school this week. Well, not real make-up but that didn't seem to bother her. She knew right away what it was and what she was suppose to do with it. Julia watches Mommy very intently every morning. Julia has also ditched the pony tail look. She is much too glamorous for ponies now. She MUST have her hair down so she can tease it incessantly.
