Doctor's Appointment
Today was Julia's two year check up. It was generally uneventful aside from the 1 hour and 15 minute wait! It took forever. Julia is average weight, average height and perfectly healthy. She was really good too considering the wait. No poopy diaper this time too.
On the way out we had a very scary moment. Getting off the elevator Julia got her hand caught in the elevator door. It was wedged in between the doors inside face and where the door goes into the wall. If you can't picture it, imagine putting your palm flat on the door and let the door open without removing it. This is what Julia did. Luckily there was another gentleman in the elevator with us and he stopped the door from closing any further while I pulled Julia's hand free. She was in pain. Her hand swelled up immediately. I tried to get her to use the hand to see if it was broken or sprained. She wouldn't hold anything with that hand so back up to the doctor's we went. They put an ice pack on it and the swelling went down. Then she started to move her fingers and grasp stuff. The doctor looked at and said it was only bruised. That was scary. Julia didn't complain much after that. I think it will still be sore tomorrow because it got squeezed pretty good. We'll see.
Julia was great today. Long car rides, long wait, check-up, and elevator accident...and she didn't complain at all.
